A straw backpack is an unexpected, practical way to carry things: a handwoven basket worn on the back with leather straps. Light, natural and made by hand in Morocco from doum palm and wild palm leaf, our backpacks suit city walks, markets and holidays. The backpack collection has six models.
How they are made
The body is woven by hand from doum palm or wild palm leaf. Leather straps are stitched on so the weight rests on both shoulders, and some models add a leather border or a leather pocket.
Sizes
Our backpacks measure about 30 to 35 cm long, 8 to 18 cm wide and 32 to 39 cm high. That is enough for a water bottle, a small camera, a book and a light jacket, while staying light on the back.

Colours and details
Backpacks come in camel, brown and natural, with one black option. Choose the leather pocket if you want a place for your phone, or the leather border for a stronger edge.

Weekend walks, markets and travel days when you want both hands free. The open weave is light, so the backpack stays comfortable in warm weather.

How to care for it
Keep the palm weave dry: avoid soaking it, and if it gets wet, shake off the water, shape it by hand and let it dry flat in the shade. When you are not using it, stuff it lightly with paper and store it away from damp. The leather is genuine leather, so it softens and darkens naturally with use and gains character over time.
