Handwoven in Morocco from doum palm and genuine leather
Green Doum is a family craft business created in 1962 by Moroccan craftsman Lhaj Mohamed, who started in a small store in the medina. Today the family still makes baskets and bags from natural raw materials, and this piece is part of that story. You can read more on our About us page.
Doum palm is one of the traditional raw materials of Moroccan craftsmanship, alongside date palm leaves and rush. It weaves into a light, natural-looking fabric, and the leather adds strength where the piece is handled.
